Default Concerning GH Skills Trainer

How about the skills trainer in your Guild Hall selling all unlocked skills across all 3 chapters? Our ST has only Prophesies skills listed. Would be nice to travel to GH for any/all unlocked skills instead of 'Island hopping' looking for skills.

Opinions?

The reason is because they don't want your level 3 ele to have access to powerful spells like meteor shower that you can only acquire much later in the game...

Not true.

Skill Tomes allow you to learn a skill WAY before the skill trainer who sells it is found in game. Elite Skill Tomes allow you to learn an ELITE way before you can reach the boss and cap the skill. Those 2 options only work if you already have that skill unlocked. However, if you have the skill unlocked already, you don't need a skill Tome, you just need to go talk to ANY skill trainer on the appropriate continent. Meteor Shower is first available in the Ascalon Settlement near Lions Arch. If you have an Ele that learns it first, then make a Mesmer and want to use that skill, you can buy it in Ascalon.

Guild Hall Skill Trainer only sells core skills. Because of this, Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, and Paragon get no skills to buy. The 6 core classes have a select few. Only significant purchase being made is the Cap Sigs. Making this a 'central' location for skill purchasing would be nice. This way, someone doing quests in Elona, who decided they needed Meteor Shower for a new build would not have to travel to Lions Arch. They could do a faster Guild Hall load, buy the skill, then head right backto the city they were in for the quest/mission.

That's plain nonsense.

Once you unlock a skill, it becomes available in ALL skill trainers and with tomes.
He has no locked skills to sell. Only unlocked.

Well... you could get skills for other campaigns? Just give him a dialog.
He would let you choose from 2..5 lists depending on wich regions your character have access to:
Core(alays available), Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and GW:EN.
So, basically, the dialog will have the same options you have in the 'travel' icon.

But since you can already get skills from other campaigns with tomes... this have no real reason anymore.
There is no reason to have him only the core skills.

No reason not to implement this after tomes were added in game. Could make it like 5 tabs: Core/Prophecies/Factions/Nightfall/EyeOfTheNorth .. if will show you the tabs for the campaigns/expansions you own.

well I'd love this to be added to the game, but then what's the use of Skill Tomes?

That you don't burn a skill point. And normal skill trainers has always had the same functionality as this pretty much. The purpose of Skill Tomes has always been to bypass skill point requirement.

And /signed.

There doesn't have to be seperate tabs for campaigns. The trainer will only show skills that have been unlocked, and good luck unlocking skills on campaigns that you don't own.

It's time this gets implemented. With the recent addition of Skill Tomes, there's no reason to offer only Core Skills in the Guild Hall.

@ _Zexion, Sujoy: Tomes also saves you from paying 1k for every skill you want to learn.
